Positive Elements. Horton the movie holds hands with Horton the book in terms of one main theme: “Even though you can’t see them or hear them at all, a person’s a person, no matter how small!” Theodor Seuss Geisel penned this noble premise back in 1954, and the idea of caring for the tiny and powerless is even more meaningful today in the aftermath of Roe v.

With this rich tradition supporting and encouraging the world of the small, we were delighted to see that the wonderful screen adaptation of Dr. Seuss' 1954 children's book Horton Hears a Who! follows this spiritual path. This movie does everything just right as it delivers many ethical messages for children and adults alike about tolerance.

Many of Dr. Seuss's books are highly moralistic. Such moralism can be either good or bad, depending on how it's communicated and what you are aiming to teach your children. In the case of Horton Hears a Who!, I think the moral is subtly and beautifully communicated. The book covertly teaches children to bravely stand up for the little guy in.

Dr Seuss Horton Hears A Who Christian Movie Review

Horton Hears a Who is a retelling of the 'classic' Dr Seuss book, that wonderful author who creates non-existent words to make his books rhyme. Unlike The Grinch and Cat in the Hat, which were muddled messes of films, Horton takes the basic story and really makes a film out of it. The whole thing is entertaining and beautifully done. It is one I am happy to recommend.

The trailer for the computer animated adaptation of Dr. Seuss’ Horton Hears a Who premiered on selected prints of The Golden Compass and is now online. I love the look of this thing. Fox has.

Horton hears A Who! is one of my favorite books and movies! Similar to How The Grinch Stole Christmas this movie takes place in a forest but what Horton hears is on a small spectacle of dusk (Whoville on a snowflake- they are both small) Horton is convinced there is something or someone on the dust. I think this book teaches about simple things.

Dr. Seuss’ Horton Hears a Who! does approach its source material with something resembling reverence. The story still holds up and is in some ways even more relevant today than when it was written. A story that good doesn’t need to be jazzed up with 3-D computer animation, wacky pop cultural references and the cast of the last couple Judd.
